Mattermost is awesome and easy to deploy. Give me an ssh access and I can
do it myself.

But I also prefer emails. I have enough places to monitor already, another
url/app to look will be too much.

And email discussions are much more organized, even more organized than in
slack like platforms,where it is easy to mix topics on the same channel
because "I'm not going to open a full new channel for this small thing" .

On email you have no limit to the number of threads you open. And each
person can decide to ignore or mute each thread individually.
