Dear GSoC students 2015,

I have published at this page [1] the results of this year. Once again, I
want to congratulate with you for the excellent work done!

I'd like to ask you one last effort. In order to make the results of your
work accessible to the broader community, I'd like to get from each of you
one slide (you can use for example Impress, or GIMP, or the software you
like the best, to produce an image) and a descriptive paragraph, containing
the following elements:

   1.

The state of the project as it was before your GSoC. For example, if you
made a GUI, you can say: “ in the software XYZ, when I wanted to use the
tool xxx, I had to manually edit the file yyy. “
   2.

The addition that your project brought to the software. In the same
example: “with the GUI that I created, now it is possible to use the tool
   xxx via graphical user interface”.
   3.

The slide / image should serve to show the main elements of your
project. It could be a flow chart, a screenshot, both, or whatever you
think could serve for the scope. Important: the aim is to showcase your
project to people that are not necessarily familiar with the software.
   4.

Finally, please add all the links (hopefully permanent) to access the
relevant code and documentation for the user to get started with testing
   your application.

I understand all this could sound to you as an additional burden. However,
remember that the scope of GSoC is to produce pieces of software that can
be actually used by the community. Not all the members of the community had
the opportunity to follow the progresses of your GSoC project in detail.
That’s why we want to showcase all the projects in this manner. All your
slides and descriptions can for example be readily used at community
meetings and events! Feel free to reuse material that you have produced for
your weekly reports. If you have any doubts, feel free to contact us at any
time.

Please add the material here [1], preferably within next week - we would
like to reuse the material for presenting the results of GSoC 2015 at the
FOSDEM conference in January.

Thank you and all the best,

Madi & Anne
