I have now approved a series of GSoC students in the wiki.
There was a back-log of ~60 requests of which > 80% were spam. We
(OSGeo-SAC) have changed to manual approval due to bot based spam
account registrations. While this is a burden for us, also leading to
the observed delay, it is actually the only way to keep the OSGeo Wiki
spam free.
