[SoC] Coding period starts today!

Dear Students,

This is a reminder that GSoC coding period starts today! By Sunday 29 you
are requested to send your first progress report [1]. You can safely
abstain from writing about setting up environment and studying
documentation, as these tasks were supposed to be carried out during
bonding period. Please be punctual sending your reports, if you occasionally
can’t make it by Sunday, please let us know well ahead. If you
systematically can’t make it on Sunday, for example because you don’t have
internet access at your home place, and need to send your reports from your
university, then we recommend you to let us know, and to organize your work
in order to be able to send the report earlier in the week, for example by
Friday.

Remember that we admins remain at your disposal during all GSoC for any
concerns or doubts you want to talk about. Also, beside the guidance of
your mentors, ask your community for second opinion  when you don’t know
how to proceed in your work. Don’t be shy! The community expect that you
pose questions and will be happy to support and help you.

Last but not least: remember to have fun!
