This is my final report for my project

Abstract

MapMint is a Geographic Information System (GIS) software running on a web
server made to facilitate the administration of a Spatial Data
Infrastructure (SDI). Also a modular and extensible WEB-GIS application
generator. Behind the MapMint solution is the massive usage of OGC Web
Services and making all processing in the solution available as WPS
services using the ZOO-Project. Yet it is not capable of grabbing sensor
data and publishing. On the other hand, istSOS which is an OGC SOS server
implementation written in Python, allows for managing and dispatch
observations from monitoring sensors according to the Sensor Observation
Service standard. The aim of integrating istSOS as a data store in MapMint
is to provide a platform for data visualization which can be used as near
real time, analysis such as interpolation analysis, conversion such as
vector and raster data, and publish as maps and OGC standard services such
as WMS, WFS,WMTS and WPS by utilizing the data from istSOS. The provided
datasets and services (WMTS,WMS, etc) can be deploy within MapMint or for
any other software such as GRASS GIS to enable new processing capabilities.

Present status MapMint is able to handle gdal formats and publish GIS data
by using OGC Web Services: WMS, WFS and WMTS. But it is not able to handle
SOS data. Additionally, istSOS is an OGC Sensor Observation Service server
implementation written in Python. It allows for managing and dispatch
observations for monitoring sensors. In the present situation, MapMint is
having interface in the Distiller for adding Databases such as MySQL and
PostreSQL, Directories and OGC web services such as WMS and WFS.

Through this project additional data store has been added to Distiller
module and it enables easy inputs from istSOS server. MapMint have the
ability to visualize sensor data near real time and execute time series
visualisation, and interpolation. Further the data can be published as OGC
Web Services: WMS, WFS et WMTS. It enables the capabilities to get info
about the sensors and filter the results for sensors by using other GIS
software packages.

In this project only the Temperature and Humidity data has been used with
istSOS. Further, the several type of data need to be used and integrated
with several processing tools.
