[SoC] GSoC 2023 - Coding Period - First Week Report - Implement SensorThings API standard in istSOS

Hello everybody,

I am writing this email to provide an update on the work I have completed
during the first week of the coding period.

The following tasks have been accomplished:

- Implemented an initial version of a SensorThingsAPI to PostgREST
converter[^1].
- Had a meeting with mentors to discuss the project's scope and progress.
- Had a meeting with Saail to discuss the project's architecture.
- Conducted research on the SensorThingsAPI and PostgREST API.

_What did I plan to do the next week?_

- Refine the implementation of the converter based on feedback.
- Test the converter with different datasets and versions.

_Am I blocked on anything?_
I am not currently blocked on anything.
