I have also heard about WMS-T in the context of time-aware WMS (used
for displaying time series of spatial phenomena).

Note that in Mapbuilder, we are currently using OGC:WMS-C to create an
OpenLayers.Layer.WMS without the singleTile option set to true,
whereas OGC:WMS is used to create an OpenLayers.Layer.WMS with
singleTile=true.
