Hi,
Title of my article was unfavorable. It is "collaborative development of
community-led projects" of "open source geospatial software" supporting
SVG Map such as geoTools and MapServer that I want to introduce in this ML.
SVG Map which I suggest is qualified SVG specifications for
inter-operable WebGIS. It supports problems of Web GIS such as layering,
tiling, efficiency and delivery of feature only on one specifications.
However design policy and architecture of it is considerably different.
Therefore, for the development of open source sotware, I thought that it
was important that real experience. And I introduced SVG Map Toolkit as
one of implementations.
Regards,
Satoru Takagi

I believe we should welcome Satoru to discuss the use of SVG to present cartographic information on this list, while he exercises care to avoid using the list solely as a marketing tool.
