Sorry, I misread the 3) above. I read it as 'Configure TileCache to read
ArcGISServer MapCache'. You're right that 3) is exactly what you did,
and the remainder of my comments on 3) are irrelevant. (I was baised by
the folder this mail went to in my mail client.)
