More notes:
- GRASS and QGIS in ubuntugis-unstable are already built with 1.6.
- I think the GDAL 1.5 issue was just the Debian bug #489124 [1]
- the latest issues with QGIS/GDAL/GRASS should be solved after
  everything linked with GRASS was rebuilt (see [2] for details on
  why this was necessary).
