[Ubuntu] ossim-elevation-data-installer error

Hi -- someone today on #osgeo pointed me to the PPA at
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntugis/+archive/ubuntugis-unstable
so I was exploring packages (I'm looking for a desktop mapping
app with contour lines or other elevation info, and not really
finding anything) and decided to take a look at ossim. I'm on Karmic.

I did this:
apt-get install ossim-bin ossim-elevation-data-installer

After it downloaded the packages, the postinstall for
ossim-elevation-data-installer had this problem:

Is this a known problem? Re-running 
apt-get install ossim-elevation-data-installer
just starts the big download again, so I guess it didn't cache
anything locally after spending all that time downloading it.
