[Ubuntu] GDAL problems on 12.04

Hi Jorge,

sure, here's the info. Interestingly enough, `dpkg -l *gdal*` shows a 
libgdal1-1.7.0 installation. Trying to remove the library will also 
remove QGIS. Maybe a dependency problem here?
