I like the idea of a Met Office event- let me know the date and I'll publicise/try to come down for it.

 

How much were you thinking of charging? I'm all for charging a small fee as I don't think open source should necessarily mean free conferences, but it does add administrative complexity- the amount needs to justify the effort, but not put people off...

 

Let's get a page up on the OSGeo:UK site about it as soon as you have some details though.

Have you had any joy with getting hold of the paypal account details for the qgis-uk. The Kickstarter runs out in 5 days and I'm hoping to get the money in there soon to get it closer to the total so others might be more tempted to contribute.
