Many thanks for raising this. I assume that many people on this list will be have a number of different perspectives and will be contributing wearing many different hats. I'm wondering if we (as the OSGeo:UK chapter) should consider a joint response to this from an open source perspective. I think we could make a worthwhile contribution, but it's a lot of work for one person. If I set up a shared google document for people to contribute, would that be a good idea?
Note this is one of those requests where you need to respond for me to do anything. If I don't hear back from anyone I'll assume no one is interested and won't take it forward...
