[OSGeo-UK] UK Government launch call for evidence to be geospatial world leader

Hi all,
I'm not sure we can be of much assistance on this, given our use of GIS is probably more niche and not covering what I think the Gov request is after, but am happy to add our two-penny's worth.

Hi Jo,

Certainly I am a man of many hats, but would be interested in helping put together a group response from an open source perspective.

James

Hi James,

Many thanks for raising this. I assume that many people on this list will be have a number of different perspectives and will be contributing wearing many different hats. I'm wondering if we (as the OSGeo:UK chapter) should consider a joint response to this from an open source perspective. I think we could make a worthwhile contribution, but it's a lot of work for one person. If I set up a shared google document for people to contribute, would that be a good idea?

Note this is one of those requests where you need to respond for me to do anything. If I don't hear back from anyone I'll assume no one is interested and won't take it forward...

All the best

Jo
