Good to hear this. I think it is excellent idea for OSGeo:UK to partner with BCS, SoC , OSM etc on 'UK Mapping Festival' and I hope we expand this idea for the future. Well done all who worked for this.

This year's SoC conference will again be jointly organised with BCS. It will be held over 6 days in London from 2-7 September. Entitled the 'UK Mapping Festival', we will be partnering with other organisations, such as hotOSM, geomob and OSGeo:UK to provide as broad a mappy experience as possible. The call for formal paper contributions (which will take place on 5 Sept) is now open. For more details of the themes, etc, see: https://soc.org.uk/summer-school-conference/
