[OSGeo Vietnam] About Approval of Vietnam OSGeo Chapter

Dear All,

Many thanks for Jeff for setting up this mailing
list. It was nice to have met in Hanoi on 11th March
as the meeting of the proposed OSGeo-Vietnam Chapter.

The Vietnam Local Chapter needs to be approved by
the OSGeo Board so that it can start functioning
"officially". I understand that the next OSGeo Board
meeting is coming up on 1st April (Thu). I would suggest
that Mr. Son (CIREN-HCMC) in his capacity as the
Representative of the proposed chapter, send request
to the OSGeo board for approval of the Chapter at the
next board meeting.

Jeff will be able to suggest any other requirements
that maybe necessary.

Hope to see lot of activity on this list not only in English
but also in Vietnamese. Hope all the present list members
can send a word about this list to their colleagues who
maybe interested in OSGeo projects and solutions.
