with "remove" I only meant to make clear that this site currently does not contain stable, approved and reviewed content but makes us look a little like a mess. 

By all means keep it as a dev box, good idea.

community.osgeo.org is a prominent URL,it has been linked from some places and contains links to the old CN site that go to nirvana. So it should be "removed" (see above) asap. 

Community tends to go where she wants to. If you can lure her into community.osgeo.org - cool. Go ahead. 

We have Toni working on adding translation to our new Drupal site. If that know-how is not available currently we can help.
