Well,

Given the resounding lack of +1 votes, I don't feel that I have a
mandate to do this, so I'm going to declare this motion failed.

Subject: [Webcom] Motion: Merge WebCom into Marketing Committee

Hi all,

As a follow-on to the email that I sent yesterday, I don't feel that the
website committee serves a meaningful administrative role, and that the
great volunteers we already have could do a more effective job as part
of a committee with a clear mandate for all things web.

In keeping with this, I hereby move to allow the WebSite Committee chair
(me) to proceed with the necessary steps to dissolve the WebSite
Committee as an independent administrative unit, and to merge the
WebSite Committee's functionality with that of the Marketing Committee.

If this vote passes, I will approach the Marketing Committee for
ratification on their end, and then we will make a joint proposal to the
Board to approve this change.

Jason
