 The OSGeo calendar shows i18n translated events only. This means that they
 all need to get translated so that people who surf OSGeo in their own
 language can see them.

 This is unfortunate because translation is at best occurring haphazardly.
 I suggest to create a translations for all languages at least of the intl'
 events immediately when submitting to the calendar. They don't need to be
 translated right away but it is better to have en English language title
 than nothing at all.

 Who owns the process of adding events to the OSGeo Portal?

 I don't think that the translation can rely entirely on volunteers for
 this to happen.
