[OSGeo Africa] What software is currently used in South Africa tertiary institutions

Sindile

Many departments use various GIS packages at Cape Peninsula University
of Technology.

In the Programme of Environmental Management (GIS as a tool applied to
support decision making/understanding of environmental variables and
processes) , we make use of ESRI (depends what licence is purchased in
any given year) in the Diploma of EM; QGIS (and intro to ArcGIS
Online) in Advanced Diploma EM.
