I'm a Geographer, Open Source enthusiast with ten years of experience
working as GIS Developer and Web Mapping Application Developer.
I started woking with GeoNode in 2011 (
http://www.atlantedellalaguna.it/?q=node/217) contributing with a set of
analysis on the urban transformation process of the Mestre area, and I'm
still working and developing on top of GeoNode for BIOPAMA (
https://biopama.org/about-us/ - http://geonode-rris.biopama.org/) at the
Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission. I also led various
technical courses on the use and customisation of the interface addressed
to regional offices of different organization including The International
Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the African, Caribbean and
Pacific (ACP) Group of States.

Aside GeoNode I have been developing geospatial applications within various
international projects and joined the JRC as GIS consultant in 2013, where
I'm currently the lead developer of the Digital Observatory for Protected
Areas (http://dopa.jrc.ec.europa.eu/explorer) and eConservation (
http://econservation.jrc.ec.europa.eu/econservation) in the context of the
Global Conservation and Development program at the JRC.

I express my candidature to be part of the new GeoNode PSC and I'm
committed to support and promote the project, its future and user needs
because I am strongly convinced it's a very valuable project with a broad
range of applications and with a fast growing community.
