[GeoNode-users] Replace file document with the same filename got error

Hi Donny

Not sure if I understand your question, but the easiest workaround (if you’re admin…) is:

  1. Geonode > Delete layer
  2. Ubuntu shell: restart tomcat (requires sudo rights on server)
  3. Geonode > Upload new layer (same name)

Hi Jonathan, thank you for this info. I managed the error now, but the file created the new file. Is it possible to overwrite the existing file? Because I need the fixed filename to read the data.

Thank you
Donny

Hi Donny

This is a known issue with layers – I bet it’s the same with documents. It has a fix or at least workaround. Discussed here:

https://github.com/GeoNode/geonode/issues/2932
https://github.com/GeoNode/geonode/issues/2462

Hi All,

I have a problem when I tried to replace the file document with the same file name. I got internal server error. Please advise what was the problem.

Thank you
Donny
