[Java-collab] Greetings from JTS/JUMP/JEQL

Martin Davis here.  I'm monitoring this list on behalf of JTS, xJUMP, 
and my new project JEQL.

I'm interested to see what areas of collaboration emerge, and how 
collaboration can be accomplished while still maintaining the momentum 
of indvidual projects.

Quick thoughts about areas where progress might be made:

- Coordinate Reference System API
- WMS API
- Geometric algorithms
- Feature model?
- Format/Datastore I/O APIs
- Java Spatial Database (e.g. H2)

(Hmmm... starts to sound a bit like Geotools, doesn't it?  Since that 
project is already providing for collaboration at the single codebase 
level, perhaps the first challenge for this list is to establish a value 
proposition based on some looser level of collaboration)
