[Mapserver-users] Can't generate .QIX files on-the-fly

I'm trying to use 'exec' or 'system' or 'shell_exe' to run "shptree.exe" =
under a Win2000+IIS+PHP4.3.3+MapServer 4.0
    and generate .qix files on-the-fly but it doesn't work....

        and even under a Apache on Windows it still doesn't work.

   Note: my PHP is not configured with the option "disabled functions"

What could be wrong?
