Fatal Error accessing stdClass as array problem

Hi,

I have been using OGR_L_GetExtents to access MBR data
about a layer. I have been advised about accessing
this "array" by using normal array notation:
$minx=$ext_array['minx'] - but this only produces the
following error:

Fatal Error: Cannot use object of type stdClass as
array in c:\...

Can anyone advise me on what I need to do to get these
values of of this class?
