[OpenLayers-Users] triggering an SelectFeature's onSelect event

I misunderstood Eric's reply. I thought he meant I could either use
control.selectFeature, or attach my code to another event.

I am finding control.selectFeature to be buggy. See my previous email. I
have also posted this to dev.

Is your goal to cause a feature to become selected in the mind of the
