[Pywps-dev] GeoPython conference

Hi everyone,

I updated the abstract with Janes suggestions a bit of history. The text is still a bit green, I will work more on it:
https://github.com/geopython/pywps/wiki/GeoPython-conference-2016

It still needs some references to the aims of the 4.0 version (REST, database, etc). Please add any contributions in the Wiki; it can be just a few bullet points, I'll then fix up the text.

Thanks,

Luís

- Python language is easy to learn
- free in using your favourite libraries for reading/writing data (no requirement made by PyWPS)
- using any kind of Python libraries in the process (GDAL/OGR, shapely, fiona, Pandas, rpy2, ...)
- link to other GIS and statistical languages (GRASS GIS, R statistics using rpy2 library)
- PyWPS can be extended / adjusted to user's needs by just using Python language

Cheers,
Jonas

Hi everyone, we must finish the abstract until Thursday. Let us try some branstorming, could you please leave some bullet points on the reasons why users should choose PyWPS?

Thanks,

Luís
