[Qgis-user] howto change default styles for polygons

Hi all,

I would like to have polygons from shapefiles be fully transparent by
default (i.e. Fill Style = No Brush).  I can do this for individual files,
by clicking "save as default" but this has to be done for every file.

I would like that style to be the default for all shapes, is there a way
this can be done?
