[Qgis-user] auto update listed categories in a legend

Hi all,
If i have a layer styled using categories based on a given field in that
layer (its a database layer), as I add new entries to the database which may 
result in more 'categories' in that layer, is there a way for the legend to
automatically update.  Eg. the layer is styled using field "Owner".  After
the initial classification is done on this layer, additional 'Owner's are
added (and therefore new categories) causing the layer style to not be up to
date (missing categories).
any ideas?
