Like Etienne, I completely missed the original discussion, and similarly
quite strongly about it.

I agree there can be too many options, but also too few. This seems like
something that warrants a config option; consider - the recycle bin in
Windows has similar options - confirm to delete etc.

I think that's probably because it's something people feel very strongly
about. I believe that's a clear indicator that an option is probably be
warranted otherwise this issue will keep coming up.

Also, no-one has commented on the fact that delete and Backspace don't seem
to work for me in 2.2. Do they work for others?
