[Qgis-user] wrong scale printing with qgis web client

hi,

I had the same problem when printing from QGIS Webclient. It happens when projection is set to EPSG3857 for using Google,OSM,...basemaps, and your data is in another projection.
At least for me the window-size of the print bounding box (when you're selecting the print) was wrong, and I patched GeoExt to make it behave correctly.
I think the error/bug/misconception is in the webclient and not in QGIS itself.

The problem is: when you have a print-layout with a width of e.g. 210mm this converts at a scale of x to a bounding-box of y meters. The value of y is different in EPSG:3857 and the "real" projection, and therefore the bounding-box is not displayed correctly.

If you want to have further info on the GeoExt patch, I can send it to you in a few days. It is not a pretty hack!
Maybe someone with more experience can chime in.

greetings
Tom
