Andre - Thanks.  I know what you are saying about matching the architectures. 
I could not get Apache to start using 32 bit.  Localhost as URL returned
"Not Found" on index.phtml, then later with pure 64 bit all I could get
returned from localhost was the code within index.phtml.  I tried so many
things I could not tell you how I finally arrived at "It works!" in bold,
but now it works throughout. I have long been in 32 bit QGIS because of 64
bit slapping my hand while trying to juggle all the dependencies I need.
