[Qgis-user] geolocating a list of addresses

Hi,

The problem with “scale” is actually a problem selecting the proper CRS for one of the layers.  For example, if you CRS is in longitude-latitude, then coordinates in degrees could look like 55.12345, -25.12345.  If you select a projected CRS for this layer, then degrees will be interpreted as meters or feet.  Add a base layer (like a global map found in the quickmap plugin) select the layer and click zoom to layer.  If your selected layer appear in the wrong place, then you must specify the proper CRS for that layer.
