Dear OSGeo friends,

It is with deep sorrow that I inform of the sudden passing of Malena 
Libman.
Malena was admitted to a healthcare facility last week after having 
tested
positive for COVID-19.

Among many other things, Malena was the president of the Argentinian 
OSGeo
Chapter (GeoLibres), chair of the FOSS4G 2021, and worked in the field 
of
Spatial Data Infrastructures.

I, as well as many of Malena's friends and colleagues, am shocked and at 
a
loss of words.
