Arnulf,
I'm keen to align the voting of Charter members with an annual refresh
of "OSGeo Advocate" roles.
As such, the suggested timeframe should fit with your suggested dates
(although it would help if we could slip the schedule by a week at the
start).
If there are no objections, I'd like to add a line item or two,
suggesting that one way for a nominating member to explain their
experience is to update their "OSGeo Advocate" profile, then point
people at this profile.
Suggested schedule:
+ 1 week, by 24 June: Finalise template for "OSGeo Advocates" with
Marketing Committee
+ 2 weeks, up to 1 July: Board and marketing committee members
encouraged to have "OSGeo Advocate" profiles completed by this day
(which can be used as a reference for the rest of the community)
+ 3 weeks, up to 8 July: General OSGeo community invited to have
completed "OSGeo Advocate" profiles by this day. Finish with a call for
new Charter Members. New Charter members are encouraged to reference
their "OSGeo Advocate" profile, which we can easily include in a
separate wiki page if we wish.
+5 weeks up to 22 July: Charter member nominations complete. Start voting.
+6 weeks up to 29 July: Finish Charter member voting. Announce results.
