[Board] Permission to use osgeo name in a Jira installation hosted at atlassian.net

Hello Board,
as you probably know GeoTools and GeoServer are about to lose the ticket
tracking
system currently hosted at codehaus.org, as codehaus shuts down in the next
couple
of months.

We discussed internally and decided we want to keep working on Jira because
it supports our workflow best and can handle large attachments (vital for
addressing
many bug reports).

Now, we looked into setting up on Atlassian cloud service, which provided a
hosted
Jira instance for free to open source projects.
We started with a geoserver.atlassian.net and we got approval quickly from
Atlassian.net,
but then we considered that it would be probably more appropriate to get a
single
isntance for both GeoTools and GeoServer, and whatever other OSGeo project
would like to use Jira.
Cloud services are nice in that the Jira authors themselves are going to
keep the site
running, do upgrades and the like. And we have the ability to do full
exports in case
things go south for any reason.

So, we would like to stand up a osgeo.atlassian.net instead, and have
geotools
and geoserver use that for starters (the host name is fixed, has to be
<yourname>.atlassian.net).

So... what the board thinks of it?
If we get the get go, is it ok for me to ask Atlassian on behalf of Osgeo,
or would
someone from the board be a more appropriate person to make the request?

Cheers
Andrea
