Jeff,

How set in stone is this date?  I guess I had anticipated there would be
some discussion of options for the date.  For instance, I would like some
discussion of when hotel rates might be higher or lower.  If the Cape Town
weather is not too bad in August, I'd prefer an August date so that
students and professors can travel more easily.
