[OSGeo-Conf] FOSS4G2012: Next Steps

Dear Cameron,
The events, which we are now organising are in principle four international
events together. It is European and Word Congress of Informatics in
Agriculture (EFITA/WCCA), Precision Farming Conference, Precision Livestock
Farming conference and Information System for  Agriculture and Forestry.
CCSS is organiser together with University of Life Science. CCSS has
responsibility for main management and financial issue. I am personally
responsible for EFITA/WCCA programme. All these conferences are with high
level requirements double reviewed articles, with printed proceedings with
own editors.
Conference have together 400 people from 62 countries. Program is running
parallel un 6 sessions, with additional workshops. Conferences has also
social event, programs for accompanying persons etc. See www.efita2011.cz
CCSS has large experience with conferences, the part ISAF is organised
already from 1995.  CCSS also organised in past two smaller events in
Brussels (for 150 people).
Agriculture university is one from possibilities, which we offered. In
principle it will be preferable solution, there is possible to organised
very relax event with unlimited number of parallel session. Only
disadvantage is, that there is not hall for 1000 people, there will be
necessary to make probably electronic presentation to second hall. There are
in principle two halls for 500 people.
But we have also already prebaked other hotel conference facilities, which
offer all necessary capacities for conference, so, if we would be selected,
it could be the topic of discussion, which solution will e preferable.

Thank you Karel and Jachym for both responding. Multiple responses is 
good in that it hints at a stronger community.
Karel, you mention that you are current running an international 
conference. Can you please provide some details about it. What is it 
for? How many people? Are the same organisors involved? Does it draw 
upon similar target audiences?
