I notice that in both proposals the streaming services are quite expensive (Portland 67.500$, Washington 50.000$) although I'm not sure the Washington number includes other facilities as well?

I don't have numbers on that. I'll see what I can dig up. I would however add that the added cost of streaming (versus just recording) all the sessions is probably pretty small. Obviously, if we limit the recording to just the plenaries and invited talks (we have them in the same room so the marginal expense is tiny) then the cost would be quite a bit less.

I, personally, think that having the recordings is of good value to the community, but that's just my opinion. I've gone back and watched a number of the presentations from State of the Map US that I was unable to attend – and re-watched some that I was able to attend.

You are correct. The error should be obvious to anyone that looks, but the value in there should be $14,918. (For the record, I think eventbrite is quite expensive, and I believe we can find a cheaper option for the size of the conference we're planning.) My apologies.

I honestly don't think we thought about it. I think that would likely be covered in the 10% set aside for unpaid registrations.

And, just to be forthright about our mistakes, I realize we also neglected student registrations as well.

I don't understand what you mean here.

> - It may make sense to also budget for ~650 attendees?

Attendance at Denver was ~950, IIRC, and Nottingham is on track for at least as much, I believe. Perhaps the Nottingham folks can confirm this. I think our 850 base estimate is quite reasonable.
