Hi,
A bit late, just finished the download after 2 days.
Tried the Live DVD using minimal RAM config.
Mac OS X 10.5.5 VirtualBox 1.6.2
Name geofoss-dvd
OS Type Ubuntu
Base Memory 512 MB
Video Memory 8 MB
Boot Order Floppy, CD/DVD-ROM, Hard Disk
ACPI Enabled
IO APIC Disabled
VT-x/AMD-V Disabled
PAE/NX Disabled
Hard Disks IDE Primary Master geofoss-dvd.vdi [Normal, 8.00 GB]
CD/DVD-ROM Image FOSS4G-2008-LiveDVD-Alpha4.iso
Seems to work OK for a brief explore
GRASS with NVIZ: OK
QGIS, pluging/grass modules: OK
Udig with sample dataset: OK
GVSig with sample dataset: OK
mapserver.bash: connection timeout downloading mapserver.tar.bz2
mapserver demo (australia): no map displayed in the html template.
