[fdo-users] GeoRaster and GDAL

Hi,

Whilst there is a ticket for updating third-party component GDAL to 1.5.x 
(http://trac.osgeo.org/fdo/ticket/278)  is it reasonable to hope that this
could be 1.6 for FDO 3.4?

GDAL 1.6 includes Oracle GeoRaster support which is starting to become asked
for.

I know 1.6 not 100% - therefore a dependancy risk - but, without this
component upgrade making 3.4 it could mean that platforms built on FDO (ie
MapGuide) will not get this until the next major rev of FDO in an undefined
timescale.
