[fdo-users] Trying to get FDO-Postgis to work in Topobase Map 2010

Hi Andreas,

I took the DLLs from the PostgreSQL server bin directory.

I am not an Autodesk developer, but it seems to me the provider should work inside TB 2010 Client as it does inside Map 3D 2010.

There is a "logged" version of the PG provider but I think it provide interesting information once the provider has been loaded.

What did you put in provider.xml ?

For me, it's :

Unfortunately it is still not working. I still do have hope though it will
work. I had the krb5_32.dll in the fdo/bin directory, but forgot to list
it in my list of dlls I copied - my fault.

Here are some followup questions:

* From which source/version should I take the dlls? I took them from the
newest pgadmin3 client, which I believe is on par with PostgreSQL 8.4.
However, I also tried copying the DLLs from a regular PostgreSQL server
install from version 8.3 and 8.2 - neither one worked.

* is the FDO-Postgis provider known to work with Topobase 2010? Maybe
there is something in Topobase that makes it different from the regular
Map3D versions?

Is there any way to get more meaningful error messages than just "could
not load the module"?

Thank you for additional ideas on what may be wrong on my system.
