Hmm, tangogps is not in debian anymore. Foxtrotgps should afaik talk
both the old and new gpsd protocol. Please run

strace -o foxtrotgps.strace -s4096 -f foxtrotgps

and hit ctrl-c when the interface has started but gps is still not
working. Then use e.g. "bzip2 -9 foxtrotgps.strace" to compress the
log and send the resulting foxtrotgps.strace.bz2 here or to a bug
report if it is larger than a few kilobytes.
