Hi John, all

I’ve tweaked the wording on the travel grant proposal, and will remove the
ideas doc, its now irrelevant.

The next step is to approach the OSgeo conference committee - so let’s wrap
a time box around this. On Friday 27 July I’ll send the proposal to
conf-dev at osgeo; with a request for $AU3000 in funding from OSgeo.

*Importantly* I notice that the self selecting ‘selection panel’ is
currently all male and white and eastern seaboard. If you’re *not* from
that demographic please add yourself. if you are, please step back for a
bit, or make a case about why you should be there instead of person X.

I’ll happily step aside for anyone with greater experience working with
Oceania’s marginalised communities - I have nearly none.
