Dear friends of Open Government,



>From October 2017 to April 2018, you shared your ideas, experiences and
insights on the future of open government in Canada. We spent months
analyzing all the data (and there was a lot!) to pull out the major themes.
We received over 5,000 comments.  Together with civil society and
government departments, we used these comments to develop possible
commitments for our next National Action Plan on Open Government,
2018-2020.



*We want to hear from you!*



We’re excited to share the draft commitments with you today.  We welcome
your feedback and comments by August 13, 2018. We are looking for feedback
and ideas on how we could strengthen the plan.

Throughout the summer, we’ll review all the feedback and adjust the draft
commitments. The final release of Canada’s 2018-20 National Action Plan on
Open Government is planned for fall 2018.
