[gdal-dev] projection locating image incorrectly.

Yes, had the aux.xml
There is internal referencing in the sid file (I removed all other files
to check)
I assume this as it was able to build a projection, but the wrong one
(Maybe missing the origin?).
Gdalinfo for the aux file looks good.
Could not run gdalinfo on the .sid or .aux.xml file. But looking at the
xml it looks fine.
Mrsidinfo gives me some of the information but not quite enough.
Does an easy way exist to force the use of the .aux or aux.xml for
projection over what is in the sid file?
How does it take priority of what projection to use from what file? I am
assuming the first one it finds (sid->aux.xml->aux).
Thanks...

Robert,
I review the .aux.xml file for this dataset and it looks like it has
everything needed by GDAL to correctly place the file. You
did have this, right? I can't download the big file (I'm stuck on
dialup currently due to technical problems) so I can't easily
check what is going on. I *suspect* that there is internal
georeferencing in the .sid and GDAL it using it in preference
to the info the .aux.xml or perhaps giving preference to the
.sdw worldfile.
What does a gdalinfo report on this dataset look like? Does it
change if you delete the .sdw file?
Best regards,
