the GDAL developers will be able to answer your question. As Even wrote,

"For now, you have to use -s_srs / -t_srs with projections method supported
by PROJ"

the above definitions could work as part of a -s_srs / -t_srs definition.

I was to referring to "+proj=pipeline ..." which is supported in GRASS GIS
7.6 if compiled with PROJ 5.x

it is said that "-ct" it could be used. But at the moment this option does
