Dear Elżbieta,

I try to answer your question:

1. The goal is to create a portfolio of certifications related to the
usage and implementation of Geo-spatial Open Source solutions (as we
discussed in Como). So far we take the following certifications into
approach (with 2 - 3 sub-categories):

 1. Positioning and data acquisition
 2. Analysis and Modeling
 3. Software, Application and Development

Hence it is geared to "some broader knowledge & skills related to
implementation of GI tools and spatial dat". As you can see it's not
product-oriented but Tanzeel developed suggestions for the usage of
tools from the OSGeo Projects [1]

2. I think that QGIS certification is product specific and hence
complimentary

Regards - Franz-Josef
