[GeoNode-devel] Stable and Unstable

Hello all,

We have had the 2.6 delayed for some time now but should take steps to
make sure we can actually release it and move on with the next
release.

I would like to propose the following to separate stable (current
version) and unstable (next version):

1. Create a 2.6.x branch from master right away and start doing alphas/betas/RC.
2. Leave master open for business to start working on 2.7 and merge
with updates from 2.6 regularly.
